Maneuverable Weycor compactor indoors

AW 1120 with 12.3 t operating weight, compacts soil in industrial buildings. Tight turning radii, deep and even compaction. Solid, powerful machine. Chutsch-Bau builds underground and outdoor facilities in Verl.

It is impressive how the Weycor compactor drives around pillars, up to walls and into chambers. The AW 1120 compacts the subfloor of an industrial building in Verl. The RC ballast serves as a substructure for the base course, which is then poured. The ballast is fully compacted up to 60 cm after the compactor passes over it. Driver Wolfgang Becker says: "The compacting power of the roller is enormous. Even with just one pass, we achieve compaction values like no other roller. What we also like is the great maneuverability. A huge advantage here in the building".

Highly maneuverable compactor - 30 % less fuel

On the one hand, the Weycor AW 1120 compactor from Atlas Weyhausen is very true to track. This is made possible by the robust articulated pendulum joints. The front and rear carriage run consistently in one track. The excellent maneuverability is made possible by the 35° articulation angle and the 12° oscillation angle of the articulation system. It is astonishing to see how precisely and quickly the AW 1120 moves "around the bends" at full vibration power. This means into individual building compartments, along walls and around pillars. Both forwards and backwards are precisely compacted. When cornering, where the wheel speeds are different, the no-spin axle lock is automatically released and only reactivated when the wheels are running synchronously again. The drive power is provided by a 100 kW/136 hp Deutz TCD 3.6 EU Stage V engine. The equipment with diesel oxidation catalytic converter (DOC), diesel particulate filter (DPF) and SCR catalytic converter is ideally suited for working indoors.

It is particularly economical to operate the AW 1120 in ECO mode. This allows the engine speed to be reduced by approx. 400 rpm compared to the nominal speed without any loss of power in the hydraulic system. While vibration frequency and centrifugal forces are maintained, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 30 %.

Regulate compaction power as required

The compaction power of the Weycor compactor can be selected depending on what is to be compacted and how. There are two options for amplitude, frequency and centrifugal force. The amplitude with 1.8 or 0.6 mm, the frequency with 30 or 40 Hz and the centrifugal force with 240 or 140 kN. The small amplitude is used for thin layers such as gravel, sand, mixed soils, gravel and crushed stone base layers and for surface compaction. The large amplitude is used for compacting thick layers such as non-cohesive and cohesive soils, gravel and crushed stone base layers, hydraulically bound base layers, frost protection layers, subsoils and dams. The compaction is very precise. This also means that surrounding surfaces or objects are not disturbed by vibrations.

Chutsch-Bau: Specialist for building construction and civil engineering

Chutsch-Bau GmbH from Gütersloh was founded in 1982 and has been an owner-managed family business ever since. Numerous projects in building construction and civil engineering - from small pit excavations to large-scale projects for industry and commerce as well as special work and construction measures for private customers - have been and are being realized. Around 15 employees and modern, state-of-the-art machinery make it possible to carry out construction projects quickly and economically. Chutsch-Bau GmbH operates in Westphalia, Lower Saxony and Hesse.

The best advice for optimally matched work tools

The regional Weycor dealer is Kraemer Baumaschinen. The company has been a family business for over 50 years, now in its second generation, and is a competent partner for the construction industry and other sectors in North Rhine-Westphalia. The head office is located in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, with further locations in Dortmund, Lengerich and Lippstadt. In addition to the sale and rental of new and used machines, Kraemer offers professional workshop and spare parts services. In the modern warehouse with 16,000 m² of storage space, 22,000 construction machine spare parts are always in stock. Another branch of the company is the sale of spare and wear parts for mining and quarrying.
