If you can't drive any further, you extend the arm. With a standard bucket, the weycor AR 480 T telescopic handler can extend its "arm" to 4.80 meters. This is done quickly and the machine remains stable. The telehandler has an operating weight of 6.0 t and an engine output of 55.4 kW/ 75.3 hp. The performance data is impressive: tear-out force 4,300 daN, pushing force 4,310 daN, tipping load extended 3,627 kg, tipping load articulated 3,208 kg, lifting force at ground level 3,600 daN. This is ideal for use in landscaping, road construction, civil engineering and, of course, agriculture.
Deployment in the hilly Sauerland - Stable
The company Tobias Richter Galabau, Korbach, is laying out the garden, including the ground protection and borders, for a new building in the hilly Twistetal valley. This involves piling up heavy ashlar blocks. The AR 480 T is used intensively for this purpose. "The power and solid technology make it possible to work quickly even in this demanding terrain situation," says Tobias Richter, owner of the company.
Even when the fully loaded bucket is fully extended, the weycor loader remains stable. The machine's low center of gravity is the solid basis for this.
"The weycor has plenty of power to lift and move the heavy blocks², says Richter. The hydraulics have a 4th control circuit (SWE) and an operating pressure of 230 bar at a flow rate of 66 l/min. Thanks to these features, work progresses quickly: lifting takes a maximum of 6.5 seconds, lowering 6.0 seconds and tipping 1.8 seconds. The weycor telehandler has rigid axles at the front and oscillating axles at the rear with planetary reduction in the wheel hubs. A 100% differential lock can be engaged electrically in the front and rear axles.
Less wear and tear
Weycor is the only manufacturer to offer a separate inching pedal in its wheel loaders. This reduces the oil flow to the hydraulic motor on the drive axle, which reduces the travel speed. However, the rest of the hydraulic system (e.g. the lifting gear) continues to be supplied with full hydraulic power. This eliminates the risk of driving against the service brake. A generously dimensioned inch range enables sensitive distribution of the thrust and lifting forces. The result is less wear and fuel consumption.
The spring-applied or negative brake on weycor wheel loaders is a closed brake system (oil bath multi-disc brake). It holds the wheel loader securely in position on a slope when the brake or inching function is activated. If the engine comes to a standstill, it automatically locks all four wheels. The multi-disc brake runs in an oil bath and is therefore particularly low-maintenance and low-wear.
